Hi!
My name is Charles Halley, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Brook Avenue community! For the last 6 years, I have worked with Waco ISD (JH Hines and Carver Middle) and my wife is also a teacher at Kendrick. We are passionate about seeing young people get an education that will help them become the people they desire to be. We have two children, Bennett (8th grade) and Jackson (5th), and so when I'm not at school I'm probably with them. Some of my interests includes podcasts, history, and soccer. Our family has been fortunate to travel a bit, and we love getting to interact with different and diverse people and cultures. I believe that working with young minds is a big job, and I am thankful to be a part of your child's journey!

Hello!
My name is Robert Hunter, and I am thrilled to be joining the Brook Avenue team as a kindergarten teacher this year. This will be my first year in the classroom, and I am truly excited to begin this journey in education.
For the past six years, I managed in a maintenance program on Fort Hood. I also proudly served as a U.S. Marine and in the Texas State Guard. I have resided in Texas for 17 years but I’m originally from Memphis, Tennessee, where much of my family still resides.
My goal as an educator is to create a fun, supportive, and engaging classroom environment where students feel encouraged to learn. Working with both students and parents to ensure success through open communication is what teaching is all about.
