My name is Cheryl Bedsole and I am a Math Supplemental Instruction Teacher (SIT) at Brook Avenue Elementary. This will be my fourth year of teaching and my seventh year working at Brook Avenue. I earned my Master and Bachelor of Social Work from Baylor University. I earned my EC-6 teaching certificate through the Texas Teachers of Tomorrow program. I am also GT and ESL certified. In 2023, I earned a TIA (Teacher Incentive Allotment) Master Designation based on my professional evaluation scores, leadership skills, and most importantly, the growth of my students. In my classroom, I hope to help students close learning gaps in math and feel more successful in their educational experience.

Hi! My name is Kelsey Erwin and I am the Reading Supplemental Instruction Teacher (SIT) at Brook Avenue Elementary. I have a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tarleton State University with certifications in General Education EC-6, Special Education EC-12, and ESL EC-12. In 2024, I earned a Recognized Designation from the Texas Education Agency for professional evaluation scores, leadership skills, and above all, the amazing growth of my students. This is my fourth year as the Reading Intervention Teacher after teaching Special Education for three years. All seven years of my teaching career have been at Brook so I truly feel blessed and honored to be a Bronco!

My purpose as a teacher is to support students in their learning development by encouraging independence and integrity in their academic, emotional, and social skills so that they find a sense of purpose in their lives through education.
