My name is Sage Cavazos-Gonzalez, and I’m honored to return for my second year as Assistant Principal and Campus Behavior Coordinator at Brook Avenue Elementary. It’s a true privilege to continue serving our students, families, and staff. My passion lies in creating an inclusive and empowering environment where all students—regardless of their home language—can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
I hold a Master’s degree in Bilingual & ESL Education from Texas A&M University, College Station, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University. I’m currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to joining the leadership team, I served as a Third-Grade Dual Language Teacher in La Vega ISD and also taught bilingual kindergarten, first grade, and fourth grade ESL.

Mi nombre es Sage Cavazos-Gonzalez y es un honor regresar por segundo año como Subdirector y Coordinador de Conducta del Campus en la Primaria Brook Avenue. Es un verdadero privilegio continuar sirviendo a nuestros estudiantes, familias y personal. Mi pasión es crear un entorno inclusivo y enriquecedor donde todos los estudiantes—independientemente de su idioma materno—puedan prosperar académica, social y emocionalmente.
Tengo una Maestría en Educación Bilingüe y ESL de la Universidad Texas A&M en College Station, y una Licenciatura en Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad de Baylor. Actualmente estoy cursando un Doctorado en Educación en la Universidad Johns Hopkins. Antes de formar parte del equipo directivo, fui maestro de Tercer Grado en el programa de Doble Inmersión en La Vega ISD, y también enseñé kínder bilingüe, primer grado bilingüe y cuarto grado en el programa de ESL.
Estoy entusiasmado por seguir creciendo junto a esta increíble comunidad y trabajar en equipo para que este año escolar sea excepcional. No duden en comunicarse conmigo—estoy aquí para apoyarles en todo lo que necesiten. ¡Hagamos de este un año fantástico!
