SEL Specialist

My name is Desireé Ramirez and I was born and raised here in Waco. I’m a University High School alum, Go Trojans! I received my Bachelor’s in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin and my Masters in Social Work from Baylor University. I have a fiancé and 3 girls, ages 10,5, and 3 months :) For the past 4 years I’ve advocated for our children and families in our community while working at Head Start. The passion I have for our youth has only grown over the years. With that, Im excited to start this new journey and only hope to continue serving our children and families! 

Mi nombre es Desireé Ramirez y nací y crecí aquí en Waco. Soy exalumna de University High School, ¡Vamos Trojans! Obtuve mi licenciatura en Trabajo Social de la Universidad de Texas en Austin y mi maestría en Trabajo Social de la Universidad de Baylor. Tengo un prometido y 3 niñas, de 10, 5 y 3 meses :) Durante los últimos 4 años, he abogado por nuestros niños y familias en nuestra comunidad mientras trabajaba en Head Start. La pasión que tengo por nuestra juventud solo ha crecido con los años. Con eso, estoy emocionada de comenzar este nuevo viaje y solo espero seguir sirviendo a nuestros niños y familias.
